The Laboratoires CYCLOPHARMA project consists in implementing a network of several cyclotrons for producing short-lifetime isotopes in pharmaceutical sites close to medical departments. These laboratories are specialized in the production of doses of GLUCOTEP® (18FDG) for rapid delivery to Nuclear Medicine departments, in compliance with current regulations (Health, Industry, Environment). Production is networked to ensure deliveries guaranteed to fit operational department needs.
Each installation is selected in accordance with medical needs and delivery capabilities.

staff for order-taking.
This networking of France is dictated by the special property of 18FDG, i.e. the loss of half its activity every 2 hours. Production close to users constitutes the main constraint for Laboratoires CYCLOPHARMA, hence the essential investment in new manufacturing sites.
